We are honored to be chosen by BMRC and grateful that so many young people are just as much invested in our community as we are,” says Brotherhood Crusade President and CEO Charisse Bremond Weaver. Launched in 2002, RockCorps was created by Stephen Greene, Grady Lee, Toby Garrett, Haley Moffett, Paul Hunter, Noel Eisenberg and Chris Robinson who have 70 years of combined experience working in non-profit, television, music industry, movie production and other arenas. RockCorps is a “bridge between communities in need and the young adults who want to make them better”. Seeking to build upon the volunteerism of RockCorps, Boost Mobile teamed with them in 2005 and formed the “Got 2 Give 2 Get” campaign. Their mutual goal is to motivate young adults to “create immediate, sustainable improvements to communities in need”. In exchange for four hours of community service, youth volunteers will be rewarded with receive tickets to signature BMRC concerts in their area. In Los Angeles, volunteers will be treated to an A-list musical performance at the Kodak theatre. BMRC recruits in Atlanta attended nationally televised concerts at the Fox Theatre featuring recording artists Paul Wall, Game, Big Boi, Jermaine Dupri, among others. In New York, volunteers were treated to live performances by T.I, Nelly, Taking Back Sunday and others at Radio City Music Hall. Founded in 1968, the Brotherhood Crusade supports underserved communities by funding and assisting numerous vital agencies.
